What a notice needs

  1. Your signature, physical or electronic.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you say infringes it, and where to find it here.
  4. Contact details we can reach you on.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

What happens next

We may remove or disable access to the material, and we may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Where a counter-notification process applies, we will explain it, and a counter-notification may be shared with you as the law requires.

A knowingly false notice or counter-notification carries liability. You do not need to own a copyright to report impersonation, privacy, consent or safety problems — use the reporting form for those.
